This Peters Drumstick Sweet & Salty Cracker Inspired by Arnott’s Jatz is a collaboration of two Australian snacking staples: Peters Drumstick and Arnott’s Jatz. Well, the Arnott’s Jatz is well known at least to Australians outside of Victoria and Tasmania (where a very similar product called Arnott’s Savoy is sold).

The Drumsticks are described as ‘a unique sweet and salty flavour combination. Cracker flavour with salty cracker pieces and sweet golden syrup. All in a crisp wafer cone with a delicious chocolate tip.’.

We were pleasantly surprised by the success of this collaboration. The generous number of crispy, salty cracker pieces tasted like Jatz, delivering delightful pops of savoury flavour that balanced well with the sweet softness of the golden syrup and vanilla ice cream. Golden syrup can be rather sickening on its own, but here it’s used sparingly – just enough to add sweetness. We’re impressed and would be glad to eat these again, which is somewhat of a rarity when it comes to flavour collaborations.
This Peters Drumstick Sweet & Salty Cracker Inspired by Arnott’s Jatz contained 475 mL or 4 pieces. It was produced in Australia and purchased in Sydney, Australia in 2018.
