This is the Lion Le Lectier Gumi, a gummy featuring juice from Le Lectier pears produced in Niigata Prefecture.

The gummy presented in the shape of a Western pear, measuring 2.3 × 1.8 × 1.8 cm at its widest points, with an opaque yellow hue and smooth surface. The surface was dry to the touch with some corn starch residue. Aroma opened with the rich, aromatic sweetness of a Le Lectier pear.

Initial contact delivered mild sweetness alongside a firm, resistant bounce, comparable to Level 5 on the Meiji softness-to-hardness gummy scale. The pear flavour emerged through the mid-palate after several chews released the flavour, developing as an intensely sweet, floral aroma. At the same time, a minor grit emerged, unobtrusive but reminiscent of the texture sometimes found in pear flesh. Towards the finish, juicy acidity emerged, capturing the intensely juicy, melt-in-the-mouth flesh of the Le Lectier pear. Aftertaste, however, carried a notable sugary gelatin sweetness that lingered on the palate, detracting somewhat from the otherwise enjoyable and authentic Le Lectier flavour.

Overall, a fruit gummy with a gradual pear-led flavour progression and integrated textural development, moving from a firm, resistant chew into a juicy, softening finish. The Le Lectier character was notably aromatic and authentic, with the pear-like grit and emerging acidity reinforcing the fruit profile, although the lingering sugary gelatin sweetness weakened the finish.
