This is the Suntory Horoyoi Cool Nashi, a limited-time flavour available during the summer months of 2023 and capturing the refreshing qualities of a chilled Japanese pear. It was a liqueur and contained 3% alcohol.

The beverage was transparent and colourless with a crisply sweet aroma reminiscent of fresh nashi pears and accompanied by a moderate carbonation. Upon tasting, the fresh nashi flavour took the forefront at the beginning of each sip, evolving in the body with the same crisp sweetness found in the aroma and the fruit’s flesh. This sweetness was harmoniously balanced with a refreshing yet gentle tartness in the second half of the sip. The bubbles contributed to palate cleansing, resulting in a clean aftertaste. Overall, the impression left was of a cool and refreshing liqueur with minimal bitterness that successfully captured the essence of fresh nashi, boasting a well-balanced interplay of sweetness and tartness.
