This is the T2 Pumping Pomegranate inspired by the Grand Bazaar in Istanbul.

The tisane is a loose blend of apple, hibiscus, rosehip, natural and artificial flavouring, pomegranate petals (4%) and safflower petals.

Infusing 3 g of loose tisane in 200 mL of just-boiled water for 3 minutes, the infusion was a clear deep red colour with a tangy hibiscus aroma. Served hot, the bold acidity of the hibiscus dominates the head of each sip before a hint of sweetness from the apples came through at the head of each sip ahead of a rosehip finish. The overall flavour was rather a lacklustre hibiscus and rosehip tisane. That said, the boldness of those two ingredients do reflect the natural sweetness and tartness of a pomegranate, and even captured the fruit’s refreshing qualities when the tisane is served chilled. It’s an accurate but ‘lazy’ tisane blend.

This T2 Pumping Pomegranate contained 30 g. It was packed in China and received as a gift from family in Sydney, Australia in 2019.
