Still in search for good local fish and chips, Achilleon Take Away was next on our list. It’s always busy with customers every time D and I visited the Woolworths next to it at Kings Langley Shopping Centre, so the prospect of good fish and chips was promising.

I love the crunch on a good crumbed fish ($5.00 each) and this one hit the spot.

The fish had a thin and crispy crumbed coating with hiding the moist and flakey white fish. Yum!

The chips (medium, $5.00) were a reasonable serving size, although some were a undercooked with a slight floury taste and most became soggy in the 10 minutes it took for us to get them home.

And because I can never get enough of gravy, a tub ($2.00) to go with the chips. It tastes a bit floury like instant gravy from granules, but it’s acceptable. It’s a beef based gravy, though, and I prefer the flavour of chicken gravy if KFC’s gravy is anything to go by.
