This is the Chōjuen Fruit Mugicha La France, a barley tea blend infused with powdered La France pear grown in Yamagata Prefecture.

Steeping one 5 g teabag in 600 mL of cool water in the refrigerator for three hours produced a transparent golden-hued infusion with a sweet fruity, roasted barley aroma.

When consumed chilled, the tea offered a rounded and smooth mouthfeel throughout. It opened with a mellow floral sweetness from the La France, peaking mid-palate before giving way to the roasted and gently bitter notes of the barley in the latter half. In the finish, the floral notes of the La France re-emerged, lingering softly in the aftertaste.

Overall, a refined and balanced infusion where the La France pear contributed a subtle, elegant floral sweetness that harmonised beautifully with the natural roasted depth of the mugicha.
