Digging through our tea cupboard, I was delighted to rediscover this Mlesna Soursop Green Tea that I’d forgotten all about.

The tea consisted of tea bagged Ceylon green tea fannings scented with soursop.

Steeping one tea bag in 200 mL of water at 80ºC for 2 minutes, the infusion was a clear golden yellow colour with a crisp and gently sweet soursop aroma. Served hot, the soursop notes came through bright and fragrant at the head of each sip before a moderate astringency developed with the buttery green tea in the body and lingered through as the soursop recedes in the finish to leave a clean aftertaste. As with the other flavoured Mlesna teas, this teas pairs a vibrant and natural fruit flavour that complements the strength of the green tea.

This Mlesna Soursop Green Tea consisted of a 2 g tea bag. The tea originated in Ceylon and was received as a gift from a colleague visiting Sri Lanka in 2015.
