There’s no shortage of icewine flavoured products in Canada, like this Mlesna Canadian Icewine Tea.

It consisted of tea bags of broken black tea leaf scented with natural flavour extracts for ice wine flavour.

Steeping one 1.5 g tea bag in 200 mL of water for 2.5 minutes (30 seconds less than the usual 3 minutes for loose-leaf), the infusion was a transparent red-brown colour with a gentle aroma of white grapes. Served hot, deep aromatic notes of white grapes came through at the head of each sip with crisp clarity and restrained sweetness that complements the natural sweetness of the black tea in the body ahead of a minor astringency in the finish. Overall, we’re pleasantly surprised by the depth of the icewine aroma in this teabag tea.

This Mlesna Canadian Icewine Tea contained 10 tea bags or 15 g. It was packed in Sri Lanka and received as a gift from family visiting Vancouver, Canada in 2019.
