This Orion Korean Turtle Chips Injeolmi the third flavour of the chips we’ve tried after the corn soup and chocolate churro.

They feature four layers and get their name from the snack’s turtle shape. Each chip is around 2 x 2 x 1 cm in size with a sweet and nutty kinako aroma. Upon tasting, the thin layers give the chips the light and crunchy mouthfeel we’ve come to expect, while the soybean flour brought a mild sweetness that developed to an intense nuttiness by mid-bite before being balanced by a gentle savoury quality as the chip dissolves in the mouth.
Given that rice cakes don’t have much flavour on their own and serve mostly as vehicles for the toppings, the rice component is absent, and would be more aptly called soybean flour flavour.
This Orion Korean Turtle Chips Injeolmi contained 160 g. It was produced in South Korea and purchased in Sydney, Australia in 2021.
