The pack included five soda-inspired flavours: ginger ale, cola, melon soda, cider, and grape soda.
Ginger Ale. With a yellow exterior coating and a transparent, colourless gummy interior, this flavour opened with a juicy sourness that was not immediately recognisable. Biting into the gummy released a flavour reminiscent of a more intense version of the cider flavour, but with less lemon and a warm, spiced tingle akin to ginger ale.
Cola. This variant featured a brown exterior and a transparent, colourless gummy centre. The outer layer delivered a mouthwatering acidity that quickly rehydrated into a juicy texture. Biting into the gummy revealed a fragrant cola flavour with a well-balanced sweetness. The overall experience captured the acidity and bold notes of cola, making it a delightful choice.
Melon Soda. With a green exterior and a transparent, colourless gummy interior, this flavour offered a salivating green melon taste from the outer layer. The gummy added a rich sweetness, balancing the sourness and creating a juicy, fragrant melon soda flavour with a subtle lemony undertone.
Cider. The blue exterior coating and transparent, colourless gummy interior introduced a salivating sourness. While the outer layer was not distinctly soda-like, biting into the gummy revealed mellow lemon notes, reminiscent of clear lemonade with a slight sharpness, evoking the taste of Mitsuya Cider.
Grape Soda. This purple-coated gummy immediately delivered a tangy sour grape flavour, similar to a sour grape Warhead. The gummy centre balanced the tartness with a sweet red grape flavour, akin to high-quality red grape juice.
These gummies offered enjoyable fruity and soda-inspired flavours. However, they lacked the depth and complexity of Kasugai’s Premium line, which showcases more specific varietals of each fruit.
