This is the Lychee Green Tea from Gotcha (large, $6.40, 1/4 ice, fixed sweetness, +$0.60 for golden pearls). The drink was a clear yellow colour with brown coloured pearls and a whole pitted lychee. Consumed chilled, the lychee syrup flavour came through with a prominent sweetness and persisted without any depth throughout the sip. The pearls bring some chewy texture to the drink, while the whole lychee is flavourful but can’t be consumed with the drink. Overall, the drink lacked interest and pales even in comparison to the similar drink from Chatime which featured lychee pulp, a prominent green tea flavour and customisable sweetness.
