This is the Peach Oolong Jelly Milk Tea ($7.50, +$1.00 for large, regular ice, regular sweetness) from King Tea. It consisted of a peach oolong milk tea with peach oolong jelly.
The tea was opaque off-white while the jelly was a semi-translucent brown colour. Consumed chilled, the fruity and floral notes of peach came through bright at the head of each sip and paired nicely with the natural sweetness of the oolong base. The milk aspect added to the smoothness of the oolong base without interfering with unwanted dairy notes but stopped short of the rich creaminess of milk teas from Machi Machi or Bubble Nini Nini Tea. The peach oolong jelly added bolder pops of barely sweetened tea flavour that intensified the peach oolong flavour through to the end of the sip where it lingered briefly with its fruity and floral notes. While we usually enjoy the addition the fresh fruit, we did not mind its absence here as the existing brightness of the peach notes already made this one of the most refreshing milk-based teas.
