This Golden Circle Sparkling Apple Tropical Punch follows in the style of the healthier flavoured carbonated drinks that avoid the added sugar and artificial flavours of soft drinks. It takes the fruit juice drinks from the main Golden Circle range and adds carbonation.
The drink was a translucent bright yellow colour with a gently tart tropical aroma. Served chilled, the drink tastes exactly like the carbonated tropical punch juice with the same prominent sweet tropical pineapple notes (the sweetness likely boosted by the apple juice composing 90% of the beverage) with a pleasant tartness in the background from the passionfruit before the bubbles of carbonation cleanse the palate for a clean finish.
Overall, the drink was enjoyable but the flavour was not something that can’t be replicated with a carton of their usual juice and some sparkling water at the expense of a minor loss of flavour intensity that could be compensated easily with some passionfruit pulp.
