This is the Asahi Calpis Blend Rich Mango. It contained up to 10% mango juice composed of 83% apple mango, 14% pelican mango and 3% alphonso mango.
The beverage had an opaque yellow hue with a sweet, slightly tart mango aroma. Consumed chilled, the rich flavour of mangoes was immediately evident, with a vibrant tropical sweetness characteristic of apple mango buoyed by the sweet yoghurt notes of the Calpis base. Mid-sip, the flavour deepened with honeyed sweetness and stone-fruit-like citrus acidity from the alphonso mango. While we were unfamiliar with the pelican mango, popular in Southeast Asia, the longer the sip remained on the palate, the richer the mango flavour became. Overall, this beverage delivered an incredibly juicy and complex flavour, making it worth repurchasing.
