Lemon tea is a staple of any cha chaan teng in Hong Kong, and this Vita Lemon Tea is about as close to the experience as we get without actually visiting one.

The beverage was a cloudy brown colour with a sweet lemony nose. Consumed chilled, a strong sugary sweetness came through before developing with a prominent acidity from the lemon in the body ahead of a slight astringency from the bold black tea in the finish, while the sugary sweetness lingered with a slight lemony flavour in the aftertaste.
Compared to lemon tea by other brands, this one has the strongest flavour and lives up to its tagline of having an ‘irreplaceable taste’. Essentially, it’s the kind of lemon tea I’d expect to find in a cha chaan teng in Hong Kong and it’s the perfect pick me up for when I’m after something refreshing with a reliable and intense flavour and haven’t the patience to appreciate the nuances of more delicately flavoured drinks.
This Vita Lemon Tea contained 250 ml. It was produced in Hong Kong and purchased in Sydney, Australia in 2020.
