Nespresso World Explorations Stockholm Fortissio Lungo

This is the Nespresso World Explorations Stockholm Fortissio Lungo. It’s inspired by a Swedish coffee, which is an intense black coffee with a malty savoury note coming from the distinctive Monsoon Arabica.

The coffee is an all-Arabica blend of dark roasted Monsooned Malabar beans from India and light roasted beans from Colombia. It has an intensity of 8 out of 13 and comes in a teal capsule with Swedish motifs.

Prepared as a lungo, the coffee was an opaque dark brown with a rich, dark coffee aroma. Served hot and black, the bold roasted notes came through at the head of each sip with a very gentle hint of acidity. The coffee has a somewhat dry mouthfeel with a medium body that developed with malty and almost savoury notes ahead of moderate bitterness in the finish. The addition of milk heightens the biscuit-like notes of the coffee, bringing a touch of sweetness to the flavour that is otherwise dominated by a roasted flavour. That said, we prefer the sweeter biscuit notes and smoother mouthfeel in the Barista Creations Chiaro.

This Nespresso World Explorations Stockholm Fortissio Lungo contained 10 x 5.3 g capsules. It was produced in Switzerland and purchased in Sydney, Australia in 2021.
