This is the T2 Cold Brew Peach Berry. T2 have finally gotten onto the cold brew bandwagon, even if somewhat late.
The teabag consisted of a blend of apple, hibiscus, rosehip, orange peels, orange leaves, natural raspberry flavouring (6%), peach juice granules (2%), natural peach flavouring (2%), raspberry juice granules (2%).
Infusing a 3 g teabag in 500 mL of cold water for 10 minutes, the infusion was a clear orange-red colour with a bright raspberry aroma. Served chilled, gentle notes of raspberry came through at the head of each sip before a hint of acidity announced the peach in the body. The acidity receded by the finish where the gentle sweetness of the raspberry returned and left a clean aftertaste. The overall flavour of this infusion was enjoyable with the refreshingly restrained use of hibiscus and rosehip that gently buoyed the acidity of the fruit without dominating. Indeed, the restrained, dry sweetness recalled Schweppes Signature Soft Drinks Raspberry with a Twist of Brazilian Orange Essence. That said, it had a thin — almost watery — mouthfeel when prepared using 500 mL for every teabag, and we prefer two teabags to 500 mL.
This T2 Cold Brew Peach Berry contained 45 g. It was received as a gift from acquaintances in Sydney, Australia in 2021.
