This Teavana Dragon Fruit Devotion is one of the last teas from this brand we picked up before the brand shut down in 2018.

The tisane is a herbal blend of pieces of apple, candied mango, guava, dragonfruit, strawberry, orange, grapefruit, and peach as well as lemongrass, rose and orange petals. For a tisane called ‘dragon fruit devotion’, dragonfruit is a minor component.

Steeping 3 g of the loose tisane in 200 mL of water at 98°C for 5 minutes, the infusion is slightly cloudy with a perfumed potpourri aroma. Where the loose-leaf is fresh, the infusion was a deep pink colour, but over time the pink aspects from the strawberry and dragonfruit age and result in a more pink-brown colour. Served hot, notes of strawberry came through at the head of each sip before the lemongrass dominates in the body ahead of a crisply sweet dragonfruit finish. Perfume notes in the aftertaste let this tisane down as it overwhelms along with an unpleasant sweetness. Overall, it tastes like a strawberry lemonade with dragonfruit undertones.

This Teavana Dragon Fruit Devotion contained 56 g. It was produced in the United States and received as a gift from family visiting the United States in 2016.
