Monty’s Pizza in Parramatta has an interesting lineup of pizzas inspired by Indian flavours. Not seen anywhere else, we were curious to give it a try.

This is the Pudina Chicken (included in 3 pizzas for $30.00, usually large for $15.00.95). It has ‘succulent roast chicken pieces marinated in tangy mint-coriander sauce, fresh baby spinach leaves, red onion, mixed capsicum, diced tomato, fresh garlic, and mozzarella cheese on a rich, herb infused tomato sauce base, topped with a swirl of minty yogurt sauce’.
This is our favourite of the three pizzas. We’ve not seen coriander used in a pizza before and being huge fans, we found the coriander brightened every bite.

This is the Butter Chicken (included in 3 pizzas for $30.00, usually large for $15.00.95). It has ‘succulent roast chicken pieces marinated in creamy, buttery royal tomato gravy, red onion, mixed capsicum, fresh garlic and mozzarella cheese on a rich, herb infused tomato sauce base topped with a swirl of ranch sauce.
This is the pizza that drew us to Monty’s Pizza initially. Unfortunately, we found the chicken overly dry and the butter chicken flavour lacking the rich, buttery tomato flavour of the original dish.

This is the Seafood Pizza (included in 3 pizzas for $30.00, usually large for $18.00.95). It has ‘ground beef, steak strips, red onion, mixed capsicum, garlic marinated prawns and mozzarella cheese, on a rich, herb infused tomato sauce base and topped with a hollandaise sauce swirl’.
N had high hopes for this pizza, but again, the shrimp that took the place of the prawns disappointed along with the pizza’s reliance on premixed Italian herbs and spices to drive the flavour of the pizza.
While we enjoyed the new-to-us addition of coriander to a pizza, our poor overall impression of the pizzas at Monty’s Pizza won’t see us returning.
