Comebuy is a Taiwanese bubble tea chain that also serves made-to-order egg waffles (eggettes) in a range of flavours.

Initial visits noted the absence of eggettes, with only drinks available. By mid-year, egg waffles were introduced and prepared to order.
Red Bean Eggette ($4.50)
A longer cook produced a deeper golden exterior with a defined crisp shell. The interior remained soft, with red beans distributed throughout. Reduced moisture content allowed the structure to hold, maintaining crispness even after resting in a paper bag. The balance between exterior crunch and interior softness was well controlled.

Black and White Sesame Egg Waffle ($5.50)
Sesame seeds were incorporated into the batter, settling more heavily on one side during cooking. Despite this, coverage remained sufficient across the waffle. The base was crisp, allowing the nutty sesame flavour to come through without obstruction.
Brown Sugar Egg Waffle ($5.50)
Brown sugar integrated into the batter resulted in a darker finish. Caramelisation during cooking enhanced the exterior crispness. Sweetness was present but moderated, with the structure benefiting from the added sugar content.
Matcha Red Bean Egg Waffle ($5.50)
Preparation during a busy period resulted in a softer finish than usual. Red bean distribution was uneven due to the size of the inclusions. Matcha remained mild, contributing a slight bitterness that tempered the sweetness of the base.
Coffee Egg Waffle ($5.50)
The use of instant espresso produced a subdued coffee profile with mild bitterness. The base batter remained largely unchanged, resulting in a flavour that lacked intensity relative to expectation.
Pandan Egg Waffle ($5.50)
Colour was the most prominent indicator of flavour. The pandan note itself was faint. Texture shifted slightly towards a more elastic, mochi-like chew.
Oreo Egg Waffle ($5.50)
A softer, more cake-like structure that reduced overall integrity, leading to breakage as it cooled. Oreo inclusions were visible but contributed limited flavour impact.
Overall, core batter and cooking technique determined success, with longer cook times producing the most consistent results. Flavoured variations varied in intensity, often relying more on texture than flavour differentiation.
