This is the CookieTime Cookie Bites Banana Choc Chip, a soft-baked cookie bite featuring banana flavouring and 11% dark chocolate chips. Despite the banana flavouring, the product did not contain real banana.

The cookies were circular and varied in size, ranging from 2.5–4 cm in diameter and up to 1 cm in height. The exterior appeared golden brown with a slightly uneven surface, studded with dark chocolate chips. Aroma opened with sweet, tropical banana notes with a natural character, supported by chocolatey depth.

Initial contact delivered a dry exterior with a very firm to hard texture that provided a pronounced crunch through the entire thickness of the cookie. Through the mid-palate, the banana notes persisted with increasing aromatic depth as the cookie crumbs rehydrated on the palate, producing a surprisingly natural-tasting banana profile despite the use of flavouring. The structure progressively broke down from crunch into a fine crumb.
Towards the finish, the dark chocolate chips became more prominent, introducing pockets of relative coolness as they melted on the palate and releasing a rich chocolate flavour with the character of dark chocolate and cocoa mass rather than compound chocolate. The chocolate therefore emerged after the banana had established the initial profile, resolving into a familiar banana-and-chocolate pairing. Texture continued from fine crumb into a soft, melt-in-the-mouth finish.
Overall, a cookie bite with a progressive flavour trajectory and integrated textural development, resulting in a well-resolved progression from crisp crunch through fine crumb to melt-in-the-mouth chocolate. The delayed emergence of the dark chocolate worked particularly well against the persistent banana profile.
