Meadows Potato Chips Coriander

Coriander tends to be a polarizing herb, and fortunately, not only do I lack the genetic aversion, but I am also an avid fan of its spiced citrusy flavour. So, when I heard about the Doritos Coriander flavour (strictly limited and accessible only through a lucky draw), it was disheartening to discover it was not available for general purchase. To compensate for this letdown, however, we tried the Meadows Potato Chips Coriander.

The chips were thinly sliced and coated with a fine white salt along with larger green specks of coriander, celery, and parsley. The spiced citrusy fragrance of coriander immediately greeted the senses upon opening the packaging. Upon tasting, the chips offered a gentle crunch and a savoury quality before the coriander notes emerged in the body, revealing its distinctive spiced citrusy character. This added a note of freshness and the subtlest hint of sweetness before mellowing into the finish. Overall, these chips achieved an impressive balance in capturing the flavour of coriander—distinctly present without being overpowering. While a thicker cut chip would be preferred, we appreciated the novelty of this divisive flavour.

This Meadows Potato Chips Coriander contained 60 g. It was produced in Malaysia and purchased in Hong Kong in 2023.
