This is the Lotte Otona no Koume. It contained 5% ume juice.

Each piece was around 2.5 x 1.5 x 0.5 cm in size, an opaque warm pink colour and wrapped in gold-coloured foil paper.

The candy had the crisp fruity aroma of fresh ume fruit. Upon tasting, the candy had a soft chewy texture that didn’t stick between the teeth. The gentle acidity of the stone fruit came through initially with a vibrant ume flavour and developed with a creamy (but not milky) mouthfeel that released a rich yet clear sweetness of the fruit in the body. The overall ume flavour captured in these chews is distinctly identifiable as the fresh fruit, with a clearer flavour than the accompanying honey-like sweetness found in ume syrup.
This Lotte Otona no Koume contained 68 g or 10 pieces. It was produced in Japan and purchased in Sydney, Australia in 2022.
