This is the Nestlé KitKat Hazelnutty, a limited edition released in September 2020.
Each block contained 11 wafer fingers covered in hazelnut flavoured white chocolate, topped with biscuit pieces, on a milk chocolate base.
These KitKat have a very sweet hazelnut aroma. Upon tasting, the hazelnut notes came through gently ahead of biting through the crisp wafer. As the chocolate melts, the hazelnut flavour came to prominence with a gentle crunch from the biscuit pieces in the chocolate. By mid-bite though, the the sweetness from the white and milk chocolates become overwhelming in the finish and lingered unpleasantly long on the palate without the hazelnut. Overall, the chocolate is passable and begs for a darker chocolate to balance the sweetness.
