This is the Whittaker’s Hazelnut Block. It’s described as being a ‘generous serving of the finest hazelnuts batch roasted and folded into [their] super smooth 33% cocoa 5 roll refined creamy milk chocolate’.
The block is a dream for those who enjoy the combination of hazelnut and chocolate. Containing 24% hazelnut, every bite delivered the audible crunch and bright nutty flavour. The hazelnuts are whole, not crushed hazelnuts — with each rectangle of chocolate containing at least one, sometimes three, whole nuts. The milk chocolate is smooth and creamy, as we’ve come to expect from Whittaker’s, and lends just enough sweetness and rich cocoa flavour to bind together the hazelnuts, which are firmly the star of the block.
This Whittaker’s Block Hazelnut contained 250 g. It was produced in New Zealand and received as a gift from relatives in Auckland, New Zealand in 2020.
