The initial firm snap of the chocolate melted away to a silky smooth mouthfeel with smoky notes in the body developing with fruity hints of tart red berries in the finish that lingered pleasantly on the palate. While this chocolate was less creamy than the Cocoa Lovers Collection 92% Cocoa Ghana Intense Dark Chocolate, it was more enjoyable for its full-bodied flavour that was strong yet balanced without any overt bitterness.
This Whittaker’s Destinations Nicaraguan Heirloom Dark Chocolate contained 100 g. It was produced in New Zealand and received as a gift from relatives visiting New Zealand.
