This Kanro Puré Gumi Pineapple Soda was a summer seasonal limited flavour using juice from Okinawan pinapples.
Each piece took on the shape of a heart, measuring approximately 3 x 2.5 x 0.5 cm. The halves were shades of pale yellow and bright yellow and emitted a delightful tropical pineapple aroma. On tasting, the sour crystals on the surface introduced an initial tangy acidity, accompanied by a subtle crunch. Individually, the darker yellow half burst forth with the vibrancy of golden pineapple flavour, while the paler half offered a mellower, fresher taste with hints of lemon-lime reminiscent of Mitsuya cider. When consumed together, the two halves masterfully evoked the essence of pineapple soda. After a few bites of the firm, pulpy gummy, the distinct richness of sweetness with its signature tropical touch of tartness emerged. Each subsequent chew released an increasingly juicy, yet fresh and vibrant flavour. The refreshing pineapple flavour of these gummies provided the ideal burst of tropical sweetness, making them a perfect treat for the summer season.
