This is the Tarami Kudamonoyasan Mikan Jelly.

It featured eight segments of mikan suspended with a jelly containing orange and apple juice.

Shaped like a dome and measuring around 8 cm in diameter, the jelly emitted a delightful aroma reminiscent of sweet mandarins. Upon tasting, a gentle press of the spoon effortlessly cut through the agar-based jelly, offering a pleasurable jiggle that dissolved smoothly on the palate. The harmonious combination of tangy orange juice and luscious apple juice produced a flavour profile reminiscent of mikan, while the judicious level of sweetness allowed the mikan segments to take the spotlight. Expertly peeled and meticulously deseeded, these mikan segments provided an experience akin to indulging in the fresh fruit itself, boasting vibrant flavour and an impeccable texture. While our enjoyment of this jelly was undeniable, we found that the Tarami Kudamonoyasan White Peach Jelly showcased a more elegantly executed fruit flavour overall.
This Tarami Kudamonoyasan Mikan Jelly contained 160 g. It was produced in Japan and purchased in Sydney, Australia in 2023.
