This is the Tarami no Dossari Pineapple & Nata de Coco. It was made from pineapples grown in Sumatra, Indonesia and nata de coco from coconuts grown in the Philippines.
The jelly had a translucent yellow hue and a sweet tropical pineapple juice aroma. Distributed evenly throughout were about four bite-sized pineapple chunks and four 1-1.25 cm cubes of nata de coco. Upon tasting, the pineapple jelly, softly set with agar, offered a light pineapple flavour with gentle sweetness, contrasting with the juicier pineapple chunks. These chunks provided vibrant sweetness with balanced fresh acidity and a non-fibrous texture and shape akin to canned pineapple from Dole. The nata de coco, slightly smaller than the pineapple chunks, offered a contrasting bouncy crunch along with a subtle acidity.
Overall, this classic pairing of pineapple and coconut made for a highly refreshing and delicious jelly worthy of repurchase.
