UHA Mikakutō (CN) Cororo Yoghurt

This is the UHA Mikakutō (CN) Cororo Yoghurt. Each bag contained 13 gummies that were shaped like small sausages with a golden yellow hue, measuring approximately 2 cm in length and 1.5 cm in diameter and emitting sweetened yoghurt aroma akin to Yakult or Calpis.

Upon tasting, the palate first encountered a thin layer of sweet yogurt flavour coating the membrane, followed by the crisp yielding of the membrane to reveal a firm, jelly-like interior. The texture resembled a gelatin-set jelly, with a slight bounce but a more pronounced agar-like ‘crunch’ compared to typical Japanese gummies. A few chews provided a vibrant sweet yogurt flavour, with a noticeable hint of dairy in the body, followed by a dominating sweetness with minimal acidity. The sweet dairy flavour became overwhelming and persisted long in the aftertaste, making it difficult to consume more than a few pieces.

Overall, we prefer the fresher fruit flavours of this series, even though these China-produced versions have similar textures to the ones produced in Japan.

This UHA Mikakutō (CN) Cororo Yoghurt contained 52 g. It was produced in China and purchased in Sydney, Australia in 2023.
