This is the Nin Jiom Herbal Candy Apple-Longan.
Each tin contained 24 candies individually wrapped in pink paper.
Each candy was 1.5 cm in diameter and 0.5 cm in height with an opaque tan colour and sweet apple aroma. Upon tasting, the hard candy melted slowly with an initial sweetness of red apple that developed with a deep, smoky sweetness that recalled longan. The signature cooling, herbal quality of Nin Jiom gave the candy a refreshing mouthfeel that restrained the sweetness despite the lack of acidity. Overall, these were enjoyable candies.
This Nin Jiom Herbal Candy Apple-Longan contained 60 g or 24 pieces. It was produced in Thailand and received as a gift from family visiting Hong Kong in 2019.
