This is the Byron Bay Cookies Tropical Mango & Passionfruit Cookie Bites. It’s described as being ‘indulgent bite size cookies jam-packed with the fresh flavours of coconut, mango and passionfruit’. It contained 12% fruit purée (20% mango purée, 16% passionfruit pulp), as well as an additional 3% passionfruit pulp and 0.2% passionfruit flavour.

Each cookie was 3.5 cm in diameter and 2.5 cm in height with a buttery tropical aroma. Upon tasting, the cookie had a barely sweetened, buttery, fine crumb that was punctuated by the chunky globs of tropical fruit purée that crunched through on biting before dissolving on the tongue to reveal sweet mango and tart passionfruit notes. By mid-bite, the buttery crumb of the cookie and the fruit purée melded on the palate, leaving only coconut as bits of textural interest in the finish. Overall, these were very enjoyable cookies, though the chocolate-based cookies in the line remain our favourite.
