The drink was as an opaque pale yellow-beige, carrying a sweet pear aroma and featuring moderate carbonation. Upon tasting, the pear flavour unfolded with a rich and aromatic sweetness, reminiscent of the melt-in-the-mouth quality of fresh ripe pears. A subtle note of cinnamon emerged in the body, enhancing the pear fragrance without becoming overt. Following this, a gentle zesty acidity from the lime balanced the initial pear sweetness before the bubbles cleansed the palate for a crisp finish. In essence, this beverage celebrated the rich and intricate sweetness of French pears with sophistication. However, with the flavour now discontinued, one can’t help but think it might have been more successfully marketed without explicitly noting the presence of cinnamon and lime in its name.
