This is the Nose Kotoka Cider, containing 3% juice from Kotoka strawberries, a premium variety from Nara Prefecture. Known for their glossy deep red skin, sweet fragrance, and rich flavour, Kotoka strawberries are regarded as one of the region’s finest.

The beverage had a transparent pale pink–yellow hue with a juicy, aromatic strawberry fragrance, supported by strong, fine carbonation.

When consumed chilled, the strawberry notes appeared at the head of each sip with a rounded sweetness. The strong, fine carbonation asserted itself almost immediately, not so much cleansing the palate as distributing the richness of the strawberry across it. This then receded into a mellow, aromatic strawberry finish ahead of a clean aftertaste. Despite the fragrance being vivid, the actual flavour was more restrained than the aroma suggested.

Overall, a refreshing drink with deep sweetness and refined carbonation, offering a crisp take on Kotoka strawberries, though lighter in flavour than expected.
