This is the Chestnut Milk ($6.90, hot, fixed sweetness) from Panntea.
When consumed hot, the chestnut flavour emerged immediately, characterized by its earthy and sweet nuttiness akin to cooked sweet potato, enhanced by the added sweet depth of maple syrup. The richness of the chestnut flavour proved ample to support the milk base, masking overt dairy notes while providing a creamy mouthfeel. Pieces of crushed chestnut settled at the beverage’s bottom, akin to toppings in bubble tea, making use of a straw necessary after allowing the drink to cool. Overall, the vivid chestnut flavour exceeded our initial expectations, though the need for a straw suggested it might have been more enjoyable as a cold beverage (unfortunately available only as hot or warm, and not being a fan of warm milk).
