This is the Pineapple and Passionfruit Oolong ($7.30, +$1.00 for agar jelly, regular ice, regular sweetness) from King Tea. It consisted of an oolong base with crushed pineapple passionfruit pulp.
The drink was an opaque beige-cream colour. Consumed chilled, the crushed pineapple gave the beverage a thick yet refreshing mouthfeel — much like that from a crushed ice drink — and delivered the bright tropical sweetness of the fruit that complemented the slightly toasted honey-like notes of the oolong tea base. However, the amount of passionfruit pulp was light with neither its texture nor its tartness making an impression; pineapple oolong would be a more apt descriptor for the drink. We would have enjoyed a touch less sweetness to account for the natural sweetness of the canned pineapple, but overall, we were pleased with the drink despite being disappointed with the thin and watery boba we received from the same store the week before.
