We tried this UFC Refresh Coconut Water at the end of summer to see out the unrelenting heat of the hottest summer on record.

The coconut water is a cloudy pale yellow colour with a slightly acidic, nutty coconut aroma. Served chilled, a gentle sweetness came through before a slight acidity developed in the body before a nuttiness recalling young coconut flesh in the finish. The electrolyte rich quality of coconut water gave a refreshing mouthfeel that recalled the a hint of the savoury quality of other unsweetened electrolyte drinks like Hydralyte, but is more enjoyable here as the natural sweetness is more pronounced. That said, we still prefer the flavour of fresh young coconuts.
