Infusing one tea bag in 200 mL of 80°C water for 5 minutes yields a golden orange liquor that matches the same colour on the packaging perfectly. A peek at the ingredients list reveals that paprika holds the secret to the colour. The infusion smells very strongly of peach and tastes much like how it smells. A sip brought out a fruity head with notes of dried peaches before the chamomile notes lend an earthiness in the body and the hibiscus and citrus notes add a sweetness and a slight tang in the tail that reminds one of the acidity of an unripe fresh peach. A floral peach flavour lingered in the aftertaste. The flavour was bright, although not as a refreshing or light on the palate as a flavoured green tea, like Momo Super Grade Green Tea by Lupicia where the green tea adds a briskness that’s here dampened by the earthiness of the chamomile.
