The tea had a translucent red-yellow hue with a fragrant orchid aroma. When consumed chilled, the same delightful orchid notes emerged immediately, evolving swiftly with a caramelized sweetness mid-sip that intensified with a rich aromatic finish, lingering pleasantly in the aftertaste. Despite being a heavily oxidized tea, it exhibited almost no bitterness or astringency, possibly due to the cold brewing process. The caramel-like sweetness reminiscent of deeply roasted hōjicha, combined with the floral depth from the orchid notes, contributed to a smooth and rounded mouthfeel.
